We recently launched the video version of The Minimalists Podcast, and now that we’re settled in Los Angeles, The Minimalists are starting to work on new video creations. As a result, we are going to hire a filmmaker who can film and edit videos for:
- Weekly podcasts (three-camera setup)
- Social media Q&As, vlogs, teasers, and trailers
- Tour stops, events, and on-the-road recaps
Interested? Please email your name, address, phone number, Instagram or Twitter handle, and demo reel (less than five minutes) to film@theminimalists.com so we can see examples of your filming and editing abilities. In your email, please include one very short paragraph about why you’re the ideal person to be The Minimalists’ filmmaker.
The Minimalists will provide all necessary equipment (you’re welcome to use your own gear, as well), and we will cover any requisite expenses associated with filming or travel (equipment, lodging, meals, flights, etc.).
The initial workload will be 20–30 hours per week. Additional hours are likely as The Minimalists produce more video creations.
Additional requirements:
- You must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Los Angeles.
- You must be able to travel when The Minimalists are on tour.
- You must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to quickly turn around high-quality editing projects, including simple text and graphics, with minimal supervision.
