This literally might be the cutest 30-second video ever, and the internet seems to agree. In fact, I wouldn’t mind if this little guy sat down to answer 10 more questions. He is seriously adorable.

Wearing a karate uniform, a kid who is clearly wise beyond his years, with a southern drawl, shrugs his shoulders and explains just why grandmas are the best – as if we should definitely already know.

Not only is this kid’s answer adorable, but it also makes a lot of sense when you think about it! Psychology Today claims that grandparents are calmer than they were when they were parents themselves. That’s why grandmothers have often let things slide when their grandkids do misbehave, unlike how they would have reacted back in the day when their own children were misbehaving. They get to enjoy the fun and the frolics of raising children, without all the stress and worry that also comes with raising them.

Grandmothers are the best, and we couldn’t agree more! Not only are they the kindest things in the world, but as the true matriarchs of the family, they deserve all the respect in the world!
